Archaeologist Martin Day has bought a house on the island of Naxos and proposes to combine a little historical research with a quiet life. When a New York historian is killed, a woman disappears, and a body is found in a shepherd’s hut in the hills, Day becomes increasingly involved and begins to suspect a connection with a so-far undiscovered ancient site.
